茨城県植物園のバラ園に入るとバラの香りが漂ってきました。バラには赤・黄色・ピンク・白・オレンジなどの色調の異なったものが見られますが、これは芝生を背景にして昨日撮ったプリンセス・ドゥ・モナコで、アイボリー色のピンクの覆輪で、まれに見る綺麗なバラです。

When I entered the rose garden inside Ibaraki Prefectural Botanical Gardens, the fragrance of roses came drifting in the air. Roses can be found in different shades of red, yellow, pink, white, orange and so forth. This is Princess de Monaco rose I shot with the grass in the background yesterday. It is a strikingly beautiful rose of ivory edged pink.

このバラは一見するとプリンセス・ドゥ・モナコに似ていますが、カリフォルニア・ドリーミングと呼ばれていて、ほのかな香りがしてピンクが濃いように見えます。これは茨城県フラワーパークで昨日撮ったものですが、ここには約800種類、30,000 本ほどバラがあるといわれています。今年は９月20日から11月４日までバラ祭りが開かれています。バラはうってつけの被写体となります。

This rose looks like Prince de Monaco rose at first glance, but it is called California Dreamin' rose, which is enhanced with delicate fragrance and looks very pink. This is a photo taken at Ibaraki Prefectural Flower Park yesterday. This rose garden is home to approximately 30,000 rose bushes in nearly 800 different varieties. Rose Festival will be held between September 20 and November 4, 2019. Roses make perfect photographic subjects.
