５月15日から６月23日は茨城県フラワーパークでバラ祭りが開催されています。バラ祭りと聞くとバラの愛好家はきっと夢中になってしまうかもしれません。ここでは800品種、約30,000株のバラが訪れる人を迎えてくれます。

The rose festival is held between May 15 and June 23 at Ibaraki Prefectural Flower Park. Probably by the name of the rose festival, rose lovers will certainly go crazy about it. Approximately 30,000 roses of 800 varieties bloom to welcome visitors here.

１年のこの時期のバラ園はバラの香りがあふれ、バラは古今を通じて最も人気のある花の１つかもしれません。このバラはプリンセス・ドゥ・モナコと呼ばれ、ピンクの覆輪でクリームのような白さのバラです。

The air is redolent with roses in every rose garden at this time of year. Rose is one of the most popular flowers of all times, I guess. This rose is called Princess de Monaco, and creamy white with a pinkish edge.
洗練 [写真]
バラ園は電線やゴミ箱といったような気が散ってしまうようなものが時折見られるので、日陰を背景にしてこの写真を撮ってみました。この淡い色のバラはエレガント・レディーと呼ばれ、ベルベットのような花びらです。

Since rose gardens often have some kinds of distractions, such as electric wires, trash cans, and so on, I took this picture with a shade in the background. This light-colored rose is called Elegant Lady, which has velvety-petaled blooms.
優しさ [写真]
この淡いピンクのバラはブライダル・ピンクと呼ばれています。花の写真を撮るお気に入りの時間帯は、柔らかな光で一番綺麗に見える朝か曇っている日です。花の写真を撮るとなると風は敵になるので、風が吹きにくい早朝に通常は撮影するようにしています。

This pale pink rose is called Bridal Pink. My favorite time to take pictures of flowers is in the morning or overcast days when they tend to look best in soft light. When it comes to photographing flowers, wind is your enemy, so I normally shoot them early in the morning when there is less chance of wind.
優雅 [写真]
ひたち海浜公園はスイセン・チューリップ・ネモフィラでよく知られていますが、ここではバラも人気があり、このバラはフレンチ・レースと呼ばれています。2019年５月13日から６月２日まではバラ祭りが開かれ、バラは最高の被写体になることがあります。花の愛好家の間でバラが人気があるのは美しさが主な要因でしょうか。

Hitachi Seaside Park is well known for its narcissuses, tulips and baby-blue-eyes flowers, but roses here are also popular. This rose is called French Lace. The rose festival will be held between May 13 and June 2 in 2019. Roses can be the best photography subject. Perhaps beauty is the main factor that makes roses popular among flower lovers.
花の絨毯 [写真]
ゴールデンウイーク中は高速道路だけではなく一般道も、大変な渋滞になってしまうことがあり、殆ど全ての観光地が大変な混みようで、しょっちゅう車が延々とつながって道路をふさいでいます。ひたち海浜公園の駐車場にも何千台も車がありましたが、見事なチューリップが見られました。

Not only highways but also local roads often experience traffic jams during the long holidays. Almost every tourist spot is extremely crowded, and cars are often jammed together bumper to bumper. There were thousands of cars at the parking lots in Hitachi Seaside Park as well, but ravishing tulips were seen.
