帆船

横浜にある日本丸メモリアル・パークで、コスモワールドの観覧車を背景にして日本丸を撮影してみました。日本丸は1930年に進水して、主に訓練航海に使われ1984年に退役するまで約183万キロメートルを航海したと言われています。2015年９月23日には29枚全ての帆を広げるそうです。

I took this photo of Nippon Maru at Nippon Maru Memorial Park in Yokohama against the backdrop of the Ferris wheel at an amusement park called Yokohama Cosmo World. Nippon Maru was built as a training ship in 1930 and sailed about 1,830,000 kilometers in total, until its retirement in 1984. The ship will be seen with all 29 sails set on September 23, 2015.
