雲海に顔を出す

　ネモフィラは別名ルリカラクサとも呼ばれ、アメリカのカリフォルニアが原産とのことですが、日本でもあちらこちらで見かけます。毎年４月下旬～５月中旬にかけて茨城県の「ひたち海浜公園」の中にある「みはらしの丘」が450万本のネモフィラに覆われ、遠くから見るとまるで海のように見えます。この写真はマクロレンズを使い被写体の周りにある花を雲や綿菓子のようにして撮ったものです。

Baby blue eyes is native to California, and normally sky-blue with white in its center. It is often seen in Japan as well. A hill in Hitachi Seaside Park gets covered with 4.5 million baby blue eyes between the end of April and the middle of May every year. The hill looks like a sea from far away. A large number of people visit the park, especially in April and May not only to see baby blue eyes but also various tulips. It takes about one and half hours from Tokyo to Katsuta Station and another ten-minute bus ride from Katsuta Station to Hitachi Seaside Park.
This a picture I took with a macro lens, and the baby blue eyes look covered with a white cloud or cotton candy.
