朝焼け

この写真は12月30日に神奈川県箱根にある大観山の山頂近くで撮ったものです。大観山は海抜1,011メートルで、富士山と芦ノ湖の写真を一緒に撮るにはうってつけのスポットになります。しかし、真冬ともなると早朝は路面が凍結していることがあるので、冬用のタイヤは必需品です。ちなみに、芦ノ湖の面積は6.9平方キロですが、富士五湖（山中湖・河口湖・西湖・精進湖・本栖湖）には含まれていません。

This is a photo I took near the top of Mt. Daikan in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture on December 30. Mt. Daikan has an altitude of 1,011 meters, and it is a good spot to take pictures of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi together. However, in the middle of winter, the roads are sometimes icy especially early in the morning. Winter tires are a must to go there. Incidentally, Lake Ashi covers an area of 6.9 square kilometers, but it is not one of the Five Lakes of Mt. Fuji, for they are Lake Yamanaka, Lake Kawaguchi Lake Sai, Lake Shouji, and Lake Motosu.
