晩秋

　 この写真は茨城県高萩市にある小山ダムの近くで撮影したものです。11月中旬位の正午前後の短い時間だけしか見られないのですが、この場所は背景の山の斜面が日陰になり、モミジにだけ日差しがさして、下の小川からの反射光で燃えるような紅葉となります。小川からの反射光が自然のレフ板のような役割をしています。

This is a photo I took against the backdrop of a shade of a hill near Koyama Dam in Takahagi, Ibaraki Prefecture. The sunlight gets into this spot between about eleven thirty and twelve thirty around the middle of November, when the background hillside is in the shade, and the maple leaves get light, as if they were burning, by the reflected light of the stream under the tree. The stream works as though it were a natural reflector.
