照紅葉 [写真]
水戸にある偕楽園は日本三名園の１つですが、その公園の一角に170本ほどのモミジや楓の木のあるモミジ谷があります。そこでは今が紅葉の見頃で、杉の木の陰を背景にして撮ってみました。

Kairakuen Park in Mito is known as one of the three great gardens of Japan. In one corner of the park, a place called Momijidani or Maple Park with roughly 170 maple trees is located. Now is the best time to see the autumn foliage there. This is a photo taken against the backdrop of the shade of cedar trees yesterday.

このピンクの混じったバラはエレガント・レディーと呼ばれています。ベルベットのような花びらで、魅力的なハイブリッド・ティー（２種類のバラを交配して作られたバラ）です。この優雅なバラは殆どどこのバラ園でも見られますが、これは茨城県にある「ひたち海浜公園」で先週撮ったものです。

This pink blend rose is called Elegant Lady. It has velvety-petaled blooms and is a stunning hybrid tea created by cross-breeding two types of roses. This elegant rose is seen at almost every rose garden. This is a photo taken at Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture last week.

今年の秋に皆さんは紅葉を見にどこかに行きましたか。10月下旬に日光の黒部に行くと、見事に色付いた紅葉が見られます。これは10月31日に撮影したものですが、このあたりは鬼怒川の上流になりますが川には水が殆どありませんでした。

Did you go somewhere to see fall foliage this autumn? If you visit Kurobe in Nikko around the end of October, you can see stunningly vivid autumn leaves. This is a photo taken on October 31. This area is located upstream of the Kinu River, but there was little water.

今年の秋に紅葉を見に皆さんはどちらか出かけましたか。この写真は10月31日に栃木県の北西部にある鬼怒川沿いで撮影したものですが、多くの山に様々な落葉樹があるので紅葉は息をのむほど綺麗でした。

Did you go somewhere to see leaf peeping this autumn? This is a photo taken along the Kinu River in the northwest of Tochigi Prefecture on October 31. Since many mountainous areas have various deciduous trees, the fall foliage was breathtakingly beautiful!

これは一昨日「ひたち海浜公園」で撮ったエレガント・レディーと呼ばれているバラです。暗い背景を見つけて、この場合には木陰ですが、逆光で撮るとバラが生き生きしました。

This is a rose called Elegant Lady taken at Hitachi Seaside Park the day before yesterday. I found a dark area, in this case, the shade of some trees to use as a background, took this backlit photo and the rose comes alive.
