これは２種類のバラを交配して作られたブルー・ムーンと呼ばれているバラで、先月ひたち海浜公園で芝生を背景にして撮ってみました。背景は被写体と同じくらい重要となるからです。このハイブリッド・ティー・ローズは青みがかっていて淡い紫色をしています。この公園には3,400本、120種類のバラがあると言われています。

This is a Blue Moon rose created by cross-breeding two types of roses. I took it against the lawn at Hitachi Seaside Park last month, for the background is just as important as the subject. This hybrid tea rose is bluish and light purple. It is said that this park is home to some 3,400 rose bushes in nearly 120 different varieties.
